In lesson 3, we found that new media is a new phrase is needed in today's modern day to describe the broader classification of our previous types of media. Film, photos, music, and free expression are all being spread at such a rapid rate thanks to technologies like the Internet, smart phones, and other modern communicative gadgets that it's easier to group them all together under the phrase "new media."
Social networking is a form of new media. People use social networking to create social networks or social interactions with other people who have similar personal or professional interests, hobbies, backgrounds, or real-life connections. The type and amount of features offered by social networking sites vary.
